A busy juice bar can quickly become a sticky mess if you do not have a system in place to keep things organized. It is important to dedicate some time creating your best layout. Walk through making a few drinks and see where it is best to have all of your accessories. Whether you are a juice bar manager or owner who is setting up a new juice bar or in charge of running an already established juice bar we hope these 3 tips will help you keep your juice bar running smoothly.
A Place for Everything
Tip 1: Give everything a designated place. This will make it easy for your employees to put things away. Take advantage of wall space and hang up anything that you can so you can keep the counter clear, such as strainers and mixing spoons. Keep it fun and use some fun fruit hooks or another accessory that fits into the theme of your store.
Keep the Cleaning Tools Plentiful & Easy to Access
Tip 2: Cleaning has to be a top priority with a juice bar. Keep the task easy with all of the tools ready to go. One of our top reasons for juice bar equipment service calls and repairs is a failure to properly clean the machines. Juicing fruits and vegetables leaves a lot of sticky residues and in addition to being harder to clean after sitting for awhile can make your customers sick. It is important to properly train your staff and encourage frequent cleaning. We think microfiber cloths work great for keeping the machine dry and shiny throughout the day. Also, have a spare scrub brush to really get the basket clean. A clean fruit and vegetable juicer basket should be so clean you can see through the mesh holes, if they are clogged you can soak them first and then scrub.
Don’t hide the produce
Tip 3: Store some of your produce in view of your customers. It will reinforce the freshness of your products and act as a delicious decoration. The best produce to keep on the counter is Avocados, Bananas, Citrus (although will last longer in the fridge), Kiwi, Melon, Pineapple, Tomatoes. Best to rotate the produce and when ripe move to the fridge. Happy Juicing!
